Background

Janet Lewis is a registered nurse of 25 years who has worked in both the National Health Service (NHS) and the private sector. During this time Janet has gained a plethora of knowledge and experience having worked in a variety of specialities including, Coronary Care, Orthopaedics and Endocrinology.  To date, Janet continues to work in the NHS as a lead Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Outside her highly successful career in the NHS, Janet also works as an aesthetic nurse practitioner. Janet’s interest in aesthetics began some time ago when a colleague invited her to attend an anti-wrinkle course run by You Can Clinic in Cardiff. Having seen the incredible results of these minimally invasive treatments, this inspired Janet to pursue a career in aesthetics, from there AAJ aesthetics was born.

AAJ Aesthetics mission statement is “Making what’s good, even better”. Our aim is to provide effective, safe treatments that enhance the client’s appearance with a natural and subtle outcome. We pride ourselves on the discrete professional services we provide, and our excellent after care. We like to build up an excellent relationship with our clients, which in turn promotes customer loyalty. If our clients are happy, then we are happy!!

Qualifications:

Janet takes pride in investing time in her personal development and throughout Janet’s career, she has constantly updated her professional qualifications. She is a qualified Non-Medical Independent Prescriber (NMIP) and has successfully completed the BSc (Hons) in clinical practice, Diploma in Nursing and is currently in the final year of the MSc in Advanced Practice.

Janet also strives to constantly update her aesthetic knowledge. She has attended many accredited training courses provided by both You Can Clinic and Allergan. Furthermore, she has attended conferences which include advanced master classes run by the world renowned and leading cosmetic surgeon Mauricio De Maio in London and Dr Raj Acquilla. Janet is also a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) and the British and UK Cosmetic Nurses forum.

Janet has worked with clients throughout South Wales especially in our clinics in Aberdare and other locations in Rhondda Cynon Taff.  Janet can be described as a highly professional practitioner, who is both caring and motivated. She prides herself on providing safe and effective treatments with the safety of her clients paramount.
